‘Every Infant Matters’ starts large-scale malnutrition treatment project in Kargil
‘Every Infant Matters’, a non-governmental organisation, started a large-scale malnutrition, prevention and treatment project in Kargil district from the first village of India at the Line of Control (LoC) – the famous Hunderman Brok of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The project was inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer Dr Munawar Wazir, in the presence of Mrs Shikha Tikoo, Regional Director, Every Infant Matters, government officials, medical officers from various blocks of the district, NGO representatives, and the local communities.
CMO Kargil Dr Munnawar Wazir while appreciating the initiatives taken by various NGOs including the NGO ‘Every Infant Matters’ in the health centre in this frontier district of the country said such initiatives boost the morale of the health workers to give their 100 percent for the welfare of the public. He said it is the responsibility of the people to make use of such initiatives efficiently.
